a new direction
A New Direction has a clear goal - to help young Londoners to create, think and learn.
The organisation understands the challenges that children and young people in London face and believes we all need to work together differently to provide the best, most equitable cultural education and creative opportunities possible. Notdeadfish supports AND on this journey, assisting the organisation through its influencing and case-making.
AND works with partners to develop new ways for arts and culture to reach more children and young people. It works with children and young people to make sure their views are heard and they have opportunities to be creative, and attracts new funding and investment to support arts and culture for young people in London.
Current programmes include...
Education: Working with schools.
Place: Making sure more places in London have a strong cultural and creative ecology for children and young people.
Learning: Supporting and training London’s creative, educational and cultural workforce.
Work: AND's Create Jobs programme expands opportunities for more young people to access work in the creative sector.
Talent: My Culture, My London helps more young Londoners feel part of London’s creative life.
AND is funded in part by Arts Council England, as part of its Bridge programme, which exists to connect young people with great arts and culture.
